Little used and yet made famous by Quad in the 60's, the KT66 power tube assembly has always seemed to us musically interesting because of the consistent sound and the natural roundness it produces. And although unfairly forgotten on the current market, it embodies a form of ideal on the new digital sources with an often-impoverished signal, thanks to a more lively and rapid sound than the traditional EL34 assembly at the beginning of the range, systematically proposed by most manufacturers. This KT66 tube setup, wired in the air in the pure tradition of our classic range, is proof to our ears that it has been thought of, created for audio and simply making music. We felt it was important to bring it up to date in these times of excessive transparency, too often lacking in "body and sound matter". > MS 65 SE The new version of the MS 65 SE is equipped with 6550 power vacuum tubes for a rounder sound, another interesting and warm approach to the true "tube sound", offered at the same price. On special request, we can offer the MS65/MS66 SE equipped directly with KT88 power tubes ( +100€). |
